People often ask us why we should buy in Punta Cana, Santo Domingo, or Santiago. Here is our opinion on why.
As the broker not only do I live and divide my time between Punta Cana, Santo Domingo, and Santiago, I do so after making a conscious choice of where I wanted to have our international branches after having lived prior in Santo Domingo, Santiago, The North Coast and finally settling on the areas I love the most in The Dominican Republic. Below are a few reasons that make each individual area stand out and what I found to be important whether you’re buying to live or to invest.
Punta Cana is the premier beach destination in the Caribbean and in a class of its own. It has everything one needs to enjoy paradise. The area is in the midst of a growth spurt that will change the future of Punta Cana and make it one of the most exciting places to live in the world.
With that said, the capital city of Santo Domingo is tied into Punta Cana in many ways especially since the highway system connecting the 2 cities is modern and efficient. Santo Domingo is one of the major cities in Latin America and the major city of the Caribbean. This gives way to an incredible economy and booming real estate market.
The Dominican capital city of Santo Domingo is the heart of the country as well as the financial center. The city boasts of everything from towering condominiums to beautiful stately homes. There is an abundance of services and goods readily available: one can enjoy the country’s growing gastronomical scene, nightlife, business opportunities as well as its rich history and beaches like Boca Chica and Juan Dolio that are close by.
Santiago de los Caballeros is Dominican Republic’s second-largest city and is in the heart of El Cibao. A rich history, exciting nightlife, and gastronomical options combined with a laid back vibe makes this the perfect city for those looking for city life and all its amenities but at a slower pace.
